What fun it was to travel with Swabhimaan Trust, to Azim Premji University, with their 10th grade NIOS students!
Not only was the APU's initiative to restore and preserve our rivers, an eye opener and a very enlightening experience for the students; In general, just to sit in the bus, experience the sprawling campus, look at the college going kids, large seminar halls, and auditoriums, and cafeteria, was all an unmatched thrill for them.
Girls were dressed up, most with no hijabs or burkas, and with lipsticks and danglers instead. Boys in their sharpest attire. Uninhibited singing and dancing throughout.
#Theapproachabletraveler stories need not always be about a cross country trip, or global Adventures. These short trips are equally memorable and make you re-live your childhood.
Many congratulations to Azim Premji University for such an organized and well-thought of, impactful event, and to Swabhimaan Trust for ensuring that their kids get to experience such events.
Thanks Silja Samuel Bansriyar for stopping by and interacting with all of us! The kids loved you. Check the video for highlights of our trip
