THE APPROACHABLE TRAVELLER
I have come to realize that sharing my family travel experiences is my Ikigai, 'a reason for being'. I am going to use this platform to achieve just that.

I love writing about the 'routine' during these non-routine vacations. Waking up, deciding on options, arguing over where to eat or where to go, who lost their tooth and when, who fell on the road, who got lost, how we escaped traffic tickets or did not, and capturing every bit of it in these blogposts.
The blog is an honest try to sharing as much of this as possible, so you know what you go through during your travels is not abnormal. That it is normal to sit and sulk in a 5-star hotel in Vienna. Or feel horrible about losing a day in Prague because of the rain. Or having to pay for that breakfast you thought was included but actually wasn't. Yes, it is all part of it.
I have been posting most of these adventures on google photos and facebook till now, so it will take me time to bring them all here. Do keep visiting to see the most recent updates.

No one likes to take pictures in my family. Actually, neither do I. But I do end up taking most of them as I want to live these experiences 'again' through them. The pictures and videos in these posts are way less than perfect. Blurry and rushed. But real and fun at the same time.

HELLO!
We're the Panakkats....

Ashif, Anjali, Dia and Shanaya
We’ve been traveling around the world together for over a decade (Shanaya joined in a little later); exploring unique destinations, vibrant cultures, and exquisite cuisines.
This is what brings the most joy to all of us, spending a lot of time together, tons of learning while arguing, making friends with other travelers, guides, and locals, searching for laundry options, the trinket collection, the sunburns and at times, the home sickness that follows during those very long trips.
